Girls Trip to The Fullerton!!

Long weekends.. are the ever enough of them! The last one that graced its face my way.. I happened to have nothing on, but also nothing booked!

Seems there were a few seats at the Swifts game also remaining unbooked- so with the littlest Swiftie (sorry Taylor, not you!) in my life buckled in the car- off we when to the big smoke!

The easiest choice would have been a night at Olympic Park but it just wasn’t cutting the mustard for the long weekend vibes and a six year old- why not stay in the city? It doesn’t get any more central than The Fullerton and after a quick review of the website- Meg set her heart on seeing the ‘fancy stairs’!

As far as six year old hotelier was concerned.. The Fullerton was heaven! We settled quickly into our clock facing  room after leaving the car with the valet (what a thrill for them driving the dustiest 4wd in the city cbd!) and it was time to dig into the USD$100 room credit as a part of our stay while enjoying the amazing welcome chocolates left for us! The tablet was so easy to use and lunch was soon on its way.. see how I said lunch? Early check in was available also!

Our room was really well appointed and we wanted for absolutely nothing while getting ready to meet our friends and head out to Rod Laver Arena to watch the mighty Swifts!

The Fullerton is steps away from all transport modes in the city- I’m sure I took more than I needed to though in reacquainting myself with rail station entries from Sydney living memories of years ago. With one change in Lidcombe we soon found ourselves surrounded by the magic that is netball! Highly recommended to all who have budding netballers in their lives. Sadly the result didn’t go our way but certainly an experience for aspiring young players and my wallet at the merch tent!

Quick rail back to the city and a wander around the bright lights of Vivid and the kids were dusted!! Me too just quietly.

The Fullerton was there for us both and didn’t we sink right in front of the evening- all the comforts of a luxury hotel and none of the inner city noise- perfect!

The morning saw us enjoy included breakfast then do a quick dash around the array of shops at the door of The Fullerton, including the world’s largest Lego Store which was of course the first stop for a personalised lego mini! We stopped for coffee at the ground level coffee bar at The Fullerton to eat up the rest of our included credit while the car was whisked back to the door by valet team.. and it was time to take the dustiest car in Sydney back home.

Like the sound of our mini vacay in Sydney and want to explore the best rate for yourself - let me know! My rate at The Fullerton includes;

  • USD100 Credit
  • Welcome Amenity
  • Room Upgrade on arrival subject to availability
  • Daily Breakfast for two
  • Priority check in and out subject to availability

Lets get you there!

P.s Yes, she saw and conquered the fancy stairs!
